Margery Cuyler Retiring

Margery Cuyler, who was Publisher of Marshall Cavendish when its children’s division was purchased by Amazon, will be retiring at the end of the year.

Those who’ve attended the NJ SCBWI conference in the past has likely met Margery, who has attended several times. She’s always been gracious with sharing her time and knowledge with fellow writers.  (Margery is also the author of more than 30 picture books as well as several novels and nonfiction books.

  1. Oooooooooh, wow! 😦 I thought I was seeing things when I read this! Over the years, Margery has actually really liked my work, only it didn’t work out. I secretly still had hopes of working with her someday, but….time marches on. I’m happy for her because I’m sure she’s ready to live a more relaxing life, and well-deserved, but this industry is losing someone special.
