NYT Moving to Publish Short E-Books

As someone whose day job includes checking out the business sections of various newspapers and business journals, I’ve seen the move toward paid content within the newspaper industry. However, this indicates the NYT is taking it a step further with the publication of short e-books.

From Publisher’s Weekly:

The New York Times has announced the launch of two publishing programs–New York Times short e-books co-published with the digital startup Byliner, and TimesFiles with Vook.

Lots of innovation in the publishing industry right now, as my last few posts have indicated. It will be interesting to see where this all leads.
