Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen is Out!

One of the great things about speaking at writing conferences is that I get to know lots of other writers from throughout the country, because we end up being put into a hotel room together.

At last year’s New England SCBWI conference, I was lucky to be assigned to room with Donna Gephart, and what a great time we had!

Donna is a great speaker, and if you have a chance to hear her, you should! She’s very funny, and of course, speaks on humor.

And today, her latest book, Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen, is out!

Kirkus, starred review: “This tale will have readers cheering for the resilient, resourceful Olivia.” Publisher’s Weekly: “Tender, triumphant novel …”

KEN JENNINGS, Jeopardy! champion and author of Maphead:

“When I was younger, I always wondered why the smart kids I liked to read about — the Great Brain, Harriet the Spy, Encyclopedia Brown — never spent as much time as I did watching TV quiz shows.  Allow me to introduce you to their Jeopardy!-obsessed, modern-day equivalent:  Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen.”

  1. Anita,

Thanks so much for the shout out on your blog!

Yes, we did have some fun during that conference, didn’t we? It’s a wonder we slept at all with all the fun chatting we did.

    Much appreciation,
