Gotham Writers Workshop Free Classes

Gotham Writers Workshop is offering some free introductory  creative writing classes. Here’s some info they sent:

Do you have family, friends, or co-workers interested in writing? If so, please invite them to participate in one (or two) of the 42 free creative writing classes that Gotham will present next Tuesday, September 20, and Wednesday, September 21, in Manhattan.

Professional writers on the school’s faculty will teach free introductory classes in more than a dozen different forms of writing. These one-hour classes will help demystify the writing process through an engaging combination of lectures and in-class exercises. They’ll inspire aspiring writers and introduce them to Gotham classes, faculty, and techniques.

Your friends can select from one-hour introductory classes in:

Songwriting – Humor Writing – TV Writing – Screenwriting
Fiction Writing – Article Writing – Playwriting
Memoir Writing – Poetry Writing – Children’s Book Writing
Stand-up Comedy Writing – Travel Writing

For anyone interested in writing but not sure where to start, we offer free basic Creative Writing and Nonfiction Writing classes.

With classes offered in four convenient Manhattan locations, it couldn’t be easier to begin writing this fall with Gotham.

  1. Yesterday when I got the notice from Gotham, I hurried to check it out. I was thinking to go during the day, to two of them to make it worth the trip in, and by the time I figured out where parking was and how much it would cost, one of the workshops filled up! If anyone’s thinking to go, don’t delay!!!!
