Catherine Onder Moves to Disney-Hyperion

In case you missed it, the announcement that Catherine Onder moved to Disney-Hyperion as senior editor was in Publishers Lunch today.

Catherine Onder has joined Disney-Hyperion as senior editor. She has been an editor at Harper Children’s for the past seven years.

  1. Well, at this point I have nothing to loose~
I have finished a children’s chapter book it has been edited by Jenny Wagnent a local editor here in Eureka Springs ,Ar. She has advised me to have an agent which is almost impossible, you find, no way, your an unknown to first pay this and we will see. My book is good,(sure u have heard this) And I think it would make a wonderful Disney movie…The book is an adventure where a holiday turns into surviving~ a little boy and his best friend his dog Bones being thrown overboard on a outing to sea, its a story of courage, faith, and a will to live.
I have one painting done for me of a page in the book an artist did for me that captired her attention. It has been read by many and they all love it..My problem is I’m new and 62 the 16th of October and no one listens, I have faith in this book and love to write for children I just need an open door and someone to have faith in me…Thank u Billie Sullivan, and good luck in your new position

  2. Billie-

I don’t think Catherine reads my blog much, although I do know her. I met her at an SCBWI conference, and you might be able to too. If you aren’t already an SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) member, I would join, and then attend regional conferences.

  3. Thanks Anita~
