After a long day of working with fifth graders creating a “Chinese Feast,” I was surprised to find that fellow blogger Day By Day Blogger has given me a “One Lovely Blog” award. Thank you so much!
The best part is that I now get to give the award to fifteen more bloggers. Day By Day has a great blog and is well deserving of the award herself, but since she has already won it, I guess I’ll be awarding to others, though from looking at her list, I know there’s going to be some duplication. And I have a feeling I’m going to be duplicating some of the awards given out by previous people.
Here’s my list of blogs that I often check, that I think have great information:
Congrats to all, and please write about the award on your blog, award 15 more, and let them know with an email or a comment on their blog.
1. Kathy Temean, Writing and Illustrating. Kathy is the Regional Advisor for the NJ SCBWI. She has a great website with lots of information about editors and agents. She also runs a great SCBWI chapter that has tons of great activities.
2. Laurie Wallmark. Laurie is the queen of keeping it short and sweet. She finds great info on the web and links to it. It’s Just the Facts.
3. Cheryl Klein. A great editor. A great blog.
4. Kidlit.com. Agent Mary Kole has an awesome blog. Lots of great advice. (Yes I know this is a repeat. it’s worth repeating.)
5. Guide to Literary Agents. You’ve seen how often I link to this blog. Great information. Great interviews. Another repeat.
6. Alice’s CWIM Blog. Alice Pope. Editor Children’s Writers and Literary Market.
7. Jill Corcoran. Agent. Great information.
8. Tara Lazar. Writing for Kids. While Raising Them. Tara’s a great networker. She’s focused more on picture books, but still has an entertaining blog with good information, even for those of us who don’t write PB.
9. Cynsations. Again, lots of great information here.
10. Nathan Bransford. Curtis Brown Agent. Great information.
11. Fuse #8. School Library Journal.
12. Editorial Anonymous. The name says it all. A children’s book editor.
13. Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast. A blog about books.
14. Inkygirl.com. Daily Diversions for Writers. (Do you need a diversion?)
15. There are No Rules. Whew, almost forgot Jane Friedman of Writer’s Digest.
Check them out!

Congratulations to all the winners. Definitely some great blogs on that list. Four of those are ones I already read regularly. I’ll be sure to check out the others.
And for next week’s list, I humbly submit my own blog which is all about techniques for effective character development in fiction:
